RIATA HISTORY: Purchased, with Miss Take, from Sarah and Foxwood Farms in June 2006. First addition after original created horses.
CONFORMATION: Delta has a very sensible, correct build, that also proudly showcases her Arabian heritage. Her build is compact, yet elegant, with strong limbs and a balanced topline. She has a lovely, chiesled head, set atop a hooky neck, and her dark eyes are bright with intelligence and warmth. Her sturdy build makes her an ideal candidate, yet she will also undoubtedly bequeath her classic looks to her foals.
PEDIGREE: Delta's bloodlines stem from the illustrious Foxwood Farms, from which was purchased. Her sire, Desperado, is a well-recognized show horse, and has contributed a number of outstanding foals to Riata, including Delta's half-sister, Miss Take, with whom she was purchased. Her dam, Delta Kiss, is also a notable producer.
PERSONALITY: Delta is incredibly sweet-natured and her easy temperment makes her a perfect broodmare. She is always bright and eager, with a comfortable intelligence and playful curiosity. She is always a joy to be around, though occasionally she lets her foals get away with more than she should.
